The Legend of Maula Jatt is a 2022 Pakistani Punjabi-language film directed and written by Bilal Lashari. The film is an adaptation of the 1979 film Maula Jatt. The film’s main cast is Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malik and Mahira Khan.

It has become the highest-grossing Punjabi film globally — according to its official Instagram account, the film made $7.8 million (Rs1.7 billion) at the worldwide box office within four weeks of its release. 103.68 crore (US$4.5 million)
The film The Legend of Maula Jatt records the second biggest domestic box office opening in Pakistan and the biggest for a Pakistani film. The film opened on Friday and grossed 45 million ( including 17.5 million from Thursday night previews) the highest-ever opening day in Pakistan. It then collected 34.5 million on Saturday and 33.5 million on Sunday the highest grossed Saturday and Sunday ever, taking its opening weekend total to 113.0 million domestically, surpassing Sultan and JPNA 2 to become the second highest domestic box office opening in Pakistan only.
The film has been described as the most expensive film in Pakistan to date. The film was widely praised by critics for its direction, acting, musical score, action sequences and visual effects.

Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi is a Pakistani television drama serial. Its produced by Abdullah Seja under the banner of iDream Entertainment. It features Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, Danish Taimoor, Nauman Ijaz, and Atiqa Odho in leading roles. The series aired on ARY Digital starting on 11 May 2022 and ending on 14 December 2022.

Mere Hamsafar
Mere Hamsafar is another Pakistani drama television series produced by Humayun Saeed and Shehzad Naseeb under the banner Six Sigma Plus, directed by Qasim Ali Mureed.
It first aired on 30 December 2021 to 3 October 2022 on ARY Digital. It featured Farhan Saeed and Hania Aamir in the leads along with Saba Hameed, Waseem Abbas, Samina Ahmad, Zoya Nasir, Hira Umer and Tara Mahmood in supporting roles.
The series was also highly rated and gained popularity not only in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nepal too.
Joyland
Joyland is a 2022 Pakistani Urdu-language drama film. The film stars are Rasti Farooq, Alina Khan and Sarwat Gilani, and other roles are played by Salmaan Peerzada, Sohail Sameer, Sania Saeed, and Ali Junejo.
In the movie, the character of a trans woman is played by a real-life trans woman Alina Khan.
First-Ever Pakistani Movie Joyland
The Movie, “Joyland,” the first Pakistani film to be selected at Cannes. The film was written and directed by Saim Sadiq.
It premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2022 and it received a standing ovation after its screening.
It also won Jury Prize and Queer Palm awards at the festival. The movie managed to beat the other 13 nominated movies at the festival.

Pasori Song
Pasoori is a Punjabi and Urdu language song sung by Pakistani singers Ali Sethi and debutant Shae Gill. It was released on 6 February 2022 as the sixth song of season 14 (episode two) of Coke Studio Pakistan.
According to data released by Spotify in December 2022, “Pasoori” was the most-streamed Pakistani song globally. And it is the most-streamed song in Pakistan in 2022.
It was also the most-searched song in the world in 2022, as per Google Trends‘ “Year in Search 2022” report. In December 2022, “Pasoori” became the first Pakistani song to enter YouTube’s Global Top Music Videos chart (week of December 16-22).
On 21 January 2023, “Pasoori” hit 500 million views on YouTube, making it the first Coke Studio music video to reach this milestone.
