Data from Statista.com showed that China has the most smartphone users, with over 950 million. This means that the Chinese market is bigger than India, the US, and Indonesia put together.
India comes after China on the list of countries with a lot of people. In India, almost 493 million people have smartphones.
The United States of America is in third place with 274 million users.

Statista.com says that the number of people who use smartphones will grow over time. By 2025, it is thought that there will be 311.53 million in the US.
Data also shows that smartphones have become much more popular since Apple released the first iPhone in 2007.
The website said that sales of smartphones would bring in 409 billion dollars between 2013 and 2020. Even though there were problems in 2021, business grew and sales went up.
With 85.9% of the market, the Android operating system pretty much rules the world.
