Top 10 All Time Favourite Pakistani Dramas

There is no doubt that Pakistani dramas have made a huge fan base that are following them over the last several years. The drama’s qualities and stories are very strong and meaningful, they show us the culture and traditions of Pakistan and especially show us about their family system.

Here are the top ten most favourite dramas;

Hamsafar

Hamsafar was on air in 2009 but the fans can never get over the chemistry of Ashar and Khirad. The acting of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan gave them a huge fan base, not only in Pakistan but in other countries such as Bangladesh and India as well..The drama was directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. The drama played on Netflix too.

Khuda Aur Mohabat

Khuda aur Mohabat is a Master piece written by Hashim Nadeem. Its a Spiritual-Romantic drama series. Its first series was on air in 2011 on Geo Entertainment directed by Anjum Shahzad it consisted of 14 episode. The second series was on air in late 2016 directed by Ali Usama and It had 23 episodes. And the third one went on air on 2021, it consisted of 39 episodes directed by Syed Wajahat.

Mere Pas Tum Ho

Mere Pas tum ho was a Blockbuster drama Serial directed by Nadeem Baig, and written by Khalil ur Rahaman Qamar. It was on air in 2019 on ARY Digital. The drama starred Human saed, Ayza Kahan, and Adnan Saddiqui. The story was based on romance and Love. The gained so much attention from the audience that the last episode of drama was in the cinema across Pakistan.

Dastaan

Dastan Drama based on partition of Indian Subcontinent, and resulted in the independence of Pakistan. The drama was written by Samira fazal, but it was based on a Novel(Bano) of Razia Butt. The drama had 23 episodes. The Chemistry of Fawad Khan and Sanam Balaoch was amazing and mesmerising, which gained a lot of attention from viewers. The drama starred Fawad Khan, Sanam Blaoch, Mahreen Raheel, Saba Qamar, and Ahsan Khan.

Suno Chanda was light comedy series which on air in Ramdhan 2018. The drama had two seasons. The story based on a love story of two cousins who loved each other but had a fight over little things like getting annoyed at each other for silly reasons. The drama starred Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed who had great chemistry. The series showed the Pakistani wedding traditions and family bond and relationships. The series was directed by Ahson Talish and written by Saima Akram Chudhary.

Raqse Bismil

Raqseh Bismil was a big HIT drama serial direct by Wajahat Rauf and written by Hashim Nadeem. It was on air in late 2020 on HUM Television. The drama starred Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan who had lead roles. In this drama it showed two people from different backgrounds fall in love with each other. The drama ending was happy and heart melting.

Zindagi Gulzar He

The drama “Zindagi guazzar he” was Fawad Khan’s second hit, which increased his popularity in the Pakistani acting industry. Sanam Saeed made a beautiful couple with him. Zindagi gulzar he was directed by Sultana Siddiqui and written by Umere Ahmad. It went telecast in 2012. The story revolves around two people, with opposite personalities and financial status.

Alif

The drama, Alif, was based on a spiritual and romantic story. The drama had showed Sufism beautifully. Hamaza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Aly were playing the leads. it directed by Haseeb Hassan and written by Umera Ahmad. It was on air in 2019 on Geo television. The drama had 24 episodes. The drama was located in Karachi, Pakistan and Istanbul, Turkey.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was one of the most iconic dramas of Pakistani television industry. The drama starred Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf. Imran Ashraf played the character, “Bhola” which will be remembered by the audience forever. The drama was on air in 2018 on HUM Television. It was directed by Kashif Nisar and written by Faiza Iftikhar. The drama had 31 episodes.

Parizaad
